Two men have been charged following investigations into allegations of fraud in Revesby earlier this year.
On Wednesday 19 June 2019, a man attended Campsie Police Station to report fraudulent activity involving fraudulent invoices and large amounts of money being transferred from his bank account unlawfully.
An investigation was commenced by detectives from Campsie Police Area Command resulting in two men, aged 31 and 54, being identified.
About 7.30am yesterday (Tuesday 29 October 2019), police entered a home on Beaconsfield Street, Revesby, where they arrested the men.
A search of the home allegedly revealed stolen identification documents, eight boxes of ammunition, and several shopping bags containing more than $1 million in cash.
The brothers were taken to Bankstown Police Station where the older man was charged with knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime, possess ammunition without a licence and deal with the proceeds of crime.
He was refused bail and will appear in Bankstown Local Court today (Wednesday 30 October 2019).
The younger man was also charged at Bankstown Police Station with knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime.
He was given conditional bail and is due to appear in Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday 20 November 2019.
