Frankston police have made the streets a safer place after seizing 63 knives, 23 imitation firearms and a sword from a commercial address in Frankston.
On 1 September at approximately 10am police, conducted a search warrant in Station Street, Frankston where they seized:
– 23 imitation firearms
– 33 knives
– 15 machetes
– 14 foldable knives
– One hatchet
– One sword
A 46-year-old Frankston man was arrested and is expected to be charged on summons with selling a controlled weapon to a child, sell or advertise prohibited weapons and sell or advertise for sale imitation firearms.

“Any form of weapon, be it knives or imitation firearms have the potential to cause significant alarm in the community.
“When used in serious and violent crime, they can tear families apart, terrify victims and threaten the wellbeing of society.
“The Frankston community can rest assured that we will continue to thoroughly investigate any reports of weapons being sighted, sold, or advertised and do everything in our power to ensure such weapons never make it to the streets.”
