More Victorian Screen Jobs As Sarah Snook Thriller Rolls

VIC Premier

Emmy® award winning Melbourne-based actor Sarah Snook is leading a local and international cast and crew filming a major new television series right here in Victoria – secured by the Allan Labor Government

Minister for Creative Industries Colin Brooks last week met the Succession star on the set of the suburban thriller All Her Fault at Docklands Studios Melbourne.

Based on the bestselling novel by Andrea Mara, the production is currently shooting scenes at Docklands Studios Melbourne’s state-of-the-art virtual production stages, after location scenes in Melbourne suburbs – including Elwood and Williamstown – since August.

The production – which was attracted to Victoria through the Labor Government’s Victorian Screen Incentive – is creating over 2,000 jobs for Victorian screen industry workers, supporting 435 local businesses and injecting more than $70 million directly into the Victorian economy.

All Her Fault opens with Marissa Irvine expecting to pick up her young son, Milo, from his first playdate with a boy at his new school. But the woman who answers the door isn’t a mother she recognises – she isn’t the nanny, she doesn’t have Milo, and so begins every parent’s worst nightmare.

Director and executive producer Minkie Spiro (3 Body Problem, Downton Abbey, Dead to Me) is joined by Victorian Kate Dennis, who received an Emmy® nomination for her direction of acclaimed series The Handmaid’s Tale. Dennis’ extensive directing credits include The Serpent Queen, Run, New Amsterdam and Offspring.

Sarah Snook stars as Marissa alongside an impressive cast including Dakota Fanning (Ripley, The Equalizer 3), Jake Lacy (White Lotus), Abby Elliott (The Bear), Sophia Lillis (It) and Michael Peña (Unstoppable).

Megan Gallagher (Wolf) is the writer, creator and executive producer alongside executive producers Nigel Marchant, Gareth Neame and Joanna Strevens for Carnival Films, executive producers Jennifer Gabler Rawlings and Christine Sacani, producer Terry Gould and associate producer, Andrea Mara.

All Her Fault is produced by Carnival Films, which is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.

This production is just one of the major screen projects filming in the state, including the Lionsgate and Netflix thriller War Machine and the Sony Pictures feature Beneath the Storm – which recently wrapped at Docklands Studios Melbourne.

The Labor Government’s screen strategy has so far created 29,000 jobs and generated $1.25 billion in economic activity across the Victoria – backing local jobs, businesses and securing the state’s reputation as a global destination for screen and games production.

As stated by Minister for Creative Industries Colin Brooks

“This is another major international production that is being filmed right here in our creative state – creating screen jobs, boosting local businesses and injecting more than $70 million into our economy.”

“This star-studded production showcases the skills of our local crews, shares our wonderful locations with the world, and places our state-of-the-art screen technology and facilities in front of the global film and production industry.”
