A man is in hospital following a in Sydney’s Eastern Beaches overnight.
About 7.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 15 May 2024), emergency services were called to Rainbow Street, Randwick, following reports of a crash involving a motorbike and a van.
On arrival, officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command were told both vehicles had been travelling eastbound when the motorbike hit the rear of the van which had slowed in traffic.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the rider – a 26-year-old man – at the scene before he was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the van – a man in his 30s – was not injured and has been taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for mandatory testing.
