Mount Lindesay part of Mount Barney fire bushfire

Bushfire warning level: ADVICE

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Mount Lindesay.

You need to keep up to date and decide what actions you will take if the situation changes.

Currently, as at 12.10pm, Monday 18 November, a bushfire continues to burn in the vicinity of Hardgrave Road and Old Mount Lindesay Road, Mount Lindesay.

This fire is now burning safely within containment lines. Fire crews, with support from aerial operations, will continue to monitor the fire and strengthen containment lines throughout the day.

This is part of a much larger fire burning on multiple fronts within the Mount Lindesay ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Park, on both the New South Wales and Queensland side of the border.

Please visit the NSW RFS page for more information specific to the bushfire in NSW, visit: https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/

The Mount Lindesay Highway remains closed between Woodenbong in NSW and Rathdowney. For more information on the closure, head here: https://qldtraffic.qld.gov.au/

People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.
