Residents and visitors enjoying wonderful green spaces is something City of Darwin is very proud of, whether it’s a major sporting field, a small neighbourhood park or beachside walkways.
City of Darwin Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis said following a recent tender, a new mowing contractor was appointed and they started work in early May.
“Some of our spaces had been intermittently maintained during March and April, and new contractor team has jumped into action immediately, working hard on a list of priorities across the city.
“All mowing work has been scheduled for the 371 locations we have in the contract, and regular maintenance will soon return to normal,” Mr Vatskalis said.
Year round, City of Darwin ensures 4.5 million square kilometres of green spaces are mowed and maintained.
