More than 70 firefighters are attending a fire at a recycling center on Stacey’s Rd, Lovely Banks this evening (24 March).
A large pile of recycling timber is alight and crews on about 20 fire trucks are working to keep the fire contained, with the first crews arriving at 9pm.
An advice message message has been issued, advising residents in the vicinity keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond
It also states that if residents are sensitive to smoke, they should close windows and doors. It also advises to turn off heating and cooling systems.
