Canberra’s new public transport ticketing system MyWay+ will be live from tomorrow, Wednesday 27 November 2024, providing an easy way to plan and pay for bus and light rail travel.
“The go live of MyWay+ represents a significant step forward for attracting more bus and light rail users. The system provides powerful journey planning, live service updates and more ways to pay,” said Ben McHugh, Deputy Director-General, Transport Canberra.
“MyWay+ will make catching public transport simpler to use by allowing people to use a debit or credit card. People also have the option of establishing an account which they can top up, track their transaction history and link payment options.
“We’ve already seen well over 20,000 MyWay+ accounts set up since that functionality was established just over a week ago. Over 14,000 people have also already got MyWay+ cards.
“This is a great new system and we know people need to take time to learn how it works. That’s why Transport Canberra will be taking an educative approach to fare compliance as people adjust to the changes.”
