This year’s theme is ‘Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!’.

Come and enjoy a Welcome to Country Smoking Ceremony, community canvas, bush tucker tasting, and many more fun activities for the family.

Join us for a smoking ceremony, indigenous tasting food, indigenous games, and a variety of fun activities.

NAIDOC Week Celebration at Meerilinga Ballajura
Join us at Meerilinga Ballajura on July 1 for a NAIDOC Week celebration. Respected Elders will open with Welcome to Country and a Smoking Ceremony. Following this, will be having many community activities from bush tucker tasting, community canvas and more. Invite your family and friends in the Ballajura community and enjoy some NAIDOC Week activities! Open to the community.

NAIDOC Week – Celebrating Aboriginal Culture and History
Come along during this year’s NAIDOC week and immerse yourself in Aboriginal culture and history. Experience learning through storytelling, showing of artifacts and listening to Dreamtime stories with Betty Garlett.

‘In My Blood It Runs’ film screening
‘In My Blood It Runs’ is a wake up call for the Australian education system told from the rarely heard perspective of an Aboriginal child. We walk with him as he grapples with these pressures, shares his truths and somewhere in-between finds space to dream, imagine and hope for his future self.

NAIDOC Week Sun Catchers
Celebrate NAIDOC week and make your own beautiful wire and bead tree suncatchers in the colours of the Aboriginal flag. Using upcycled beads and wire, this workshop is suitable for all experience levels and will teach the basics of wire twisting, shaping and bead arrangement.
