Researchers, academics and creatives are encouraged to apply for a range of philanthropically funded fellowships, scholarships and grants which all open for applications on Tuesday 1 March 2022.

Director-General of the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Library of Australia, Dr Marie-Louise Ayres FAHA, encouraged researchers to delve into the national collections when considering their application for the 2023 program.

‘The Library’s fellowships, scholarships and grant programs support an incredible range of projects each year, with the output ranging from books to musical performances – all reflecting the scope of the collections we have here in Canberra. We’re excited to offer such a diverse program of opportunities again in 2023.

‘Recipients often tell us how much they appreciate the sense of community they feel while studying with others at the Library, and we look forward to welcoming new groups every year,’ Dr Ayres said.

‘I’d also like to thank our generous donors for continuing to invest in new Australian research and creative projects and supporting access to the Library’s collections.’

Through each program the Library, in partnership with donors, offers recipients a residency at the ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Library in Canberra.

Successful applicants will have special access to the Library’s expert staff and collection material, full office facilities including a designated workstation, and, for funded opportunities, an honorarium to contribute towards travel and accommodation expenses.
