The City is excited to announce this year’s Geelong Nature Week program, part of our annual celebration of Geelong’s magnificent wildlife and remarkable natural areas.
Running from Monday 25 to Saturday 30 November, Geelong Nature Week events are a great way for the community to experience the beauty of Geelong’s nature, while finding out more about what is being done to encourage biodiversity in our wild and not so wild places.
The events will bring together presenters from a variety of organisations and partners including the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation, Zoos Victoria, Department of Energy Environment and Climate Action, Parks Victoria, the Odonata Foundation, Bellarine Catchment Network, Friends of the Hooded Plover Bellarine, Birdlife Australia, Barwon Coast and more.
The program includes:

- ‘Sparrovale Wetland Reserve Ngubijt yoorree Nature Walk’ – you will be guided around our largest nature reserve and discover the over 90 different species of birds recorded here, including Brolgas and large populations of migratory birds
