New building delivers for growing Victoria Point State High

  • New $11.8 million two storey building officially opened

The Premier, Education Minister, and Member for Redlands Kim Richards today joined members of the Victoria Point State High School community to officially open a new $12 million state-of-the-art learning centre.

The new building includes two robotics rooms, a hospitality kitchen where students will be able to complete Certificate IVs, and four new classrooms to accommodate the growing number of in catchment enrolments at the school.

The project has also added a new staff work room and amenities, as well as a lift for accessibility.

Delivered by Integral Constructions, 33 jobs were supported across the life of the project, with 34 apprentices learning their trade on site.

Separately, the school’s science block as also undergone a $550,000 transformation carried out by Future Fitouts to refurbish four laboratories, delivering on a 2020 election commitment.

The Palaszczuk Government has invested almost $2 billion in education infrastructure in the 2022-23 budget alone, supporting almost 4,200 good, secure jobs for Queenslanders.
