As stated by Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan:

“The Kimberley has enormous potential for economic diversification to improve the opportunities for local communities.

“Our Government is delivering major economic and social investments across the Kimberley to help unlock that potential, and the Kimberley Development Commission plays a key role in driving that agenda.

“Mr Berger brings to the role a history of connection to the Kimberley, a relationship with the region’s Aboriginal communities, and a real understanding of the opportunities for the region.

“I thank Tim Bray for his hard work as Acting CEO of the Commission over the past nine months.”
