New facilities for staff and students at Good Samaritan College

Senator the Hon Anthony Chisholm
Assistant Minister for Education
Assistant Minister for Regional Development

Assistant Minister, Anthony Chisholm opened the new Polding Place at Good Samaritan College today, which is set to improve student outcomes and was made possible through a $2.9 million Federal Government contribution via the Capital Grants Program.

“A lot of work has gone into this project which has delivered classrooms, a uniform store and a commercial kitchen,” Assistant Minister Chisholm said.

“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers and students at Good Samaritan College with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn.

“The Albanese Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those in Good Samaritan College, Toowoomba, get the best possible education.”

Assistant Minister Chisholm said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at Good Samaritan College, as well as the many students who will follow in future years.

“The teachers, staff and students at Good Samaritan College have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Assistant Minister Chisholm said.

“Our Government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or to find a job.”
