  • New land release at Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct launched to market via Offers Invited campaign
  • Lot 118 is a 3,438sqm mixed-use site suitable for research, commercial, health, office space or accommodation
  • Latest release follows the success of Stage 1A, which will deliver WA’s first Medihotel
  • A new land release at the Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct (MHKP) has opened up additional opportunities to be part of the milestone McGowan Government redevelopment, with LandCorp seeking offers from developers, investors and private companies for a 3,438sqm mixed-use site at the emerging health, education and technology hub.

Presenting a significant opportunity to deliver a quality mixed-use development in a highly sought-after precinct, Lot 118 will be sold via an Offers Invited campaign to be conducted by LandCorp.

The landmark site is suitable for commercial, office, or general health or education related, research and innovation uses, adding to the concentration of world-class health and scientific endeavour at the precinct.

The 9.6ha MHKP is located next to leading tertiary hospitals – the $2 billion Fiona Stanley Hospital and St John of God Hospital – and close to Murdoch University, the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and South Metropolitan TAFE.

The precinct is part of the broader Murdoch Activity Centre, which is set to become a vibrant hub of world-class research, jobs and public transport. On completion, it is expected to deliver up to 35,000 jobs, homes for 22,000 residents, and facilities for up to 44,000 students.

LandCorp’s MHKP is a catalyst for the delivery of the Murdoch Activity Centre and will ultimately be home to 1,200 dwellings for 2,400 residents, as well as 45,000sqm of health, retail and commercial space to complement the emerging health and knowledge hub.

Located close to the Murdoch train and bus interchange and Kwinana Freeway, the precinct is ideally placed to support Perth’s growing southern corridor.

Stage 1A will see the delivery of Western Australia’s first Medihotel, along with an aged care facility, super medical clinic and residential offering in a development featuring commercial, retail, food and beverage spaces.

Offers to purchase Lot 118 will close on May 28, 2019. For further information and to download the document, visit

As stated by Lands Minister Ben Wyatt:

“Part of this Government’s planning strategy is to manage population growth in our city, and meet the demand for well-designed, connected centres people can live, work and relax in.

“As part of the Murdoch Activity Centre, the Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct will contribute to providing jobs for up to 35,000 Western Australians, education facilities for a potential 44,000 students and homes for some 22,000 residents.”

As stated by Health Minister Roger Cook:

“The Murdoch Health and Knowledge Precinct is an ambitious project from the McGowan Government that will see the creation of a new city centre, and a centre of excellence for health, research and education.

“The sale of the first lot in Stage 1B will build on the success of Stage 1A, which will deliver WA its first Medihotel – a key commitment of the McGowan Government.”
