Earth Resources Regulation has strengthened its stakeholder engagement capability by appointing Mr John Malempre from Conmats Consulting as an Independent Stakeholder Liaison.
Mr Malempre boasts significant experience in the resources sector, providing the Regulator with a credible conduit to industry across a range of issues. He will lead and manage the resolution of stakeholder complaints and queries, while also improving the Regulator’s complaint handling practices.
As well as responding to complaints and queries, Mr Malempre will play a proactive role, providing guidance to industry operators about the regulator’s approval processes and submission requirements for applications.
Mr Malempre’s appointment will help industry better understands application requirements. This should result in an improvement in the timeliness and quality of industry submissions, reducing the review period of approvals by the Regulator.
