Director Infrastructure Services Warren Faulkner said this package of works looks to repair damage to roads at major intersections throughout the city.
“This is a large scope of asphalt works that will be undertaken at various intersections and roundabouts in central Wagga Wagga, Kooringal, Lake Albert, Lloyd and Glenfield Park,” Mr Faulkner said.
“This is package four of the major roadworks rehabilitation program that has been rolled out since January.
“The initiative aims to transform roads by enhancing both safety and the overall driving experience for motorists.”
Roadworks will be carried out during the night, while VMS boards (mobile variable message signs) will be in place to notify motorists of commencement dates and scheduled work times.
Residents are asked to ensure vehicles are not parked on the street during the hours indicated on the VMS boards.
Council advises there will be some noise associated with this work, but every effort will be made to minimise the impact on residents.
