Dr Megan Fisher has been appointed as La Trobe University’s new Pro Vice-Chancellor (Industry Engagement).
La Trobe University Vice-Chancellor Professor John Dewar welcomed Dr Fisher to the University.
“Dr Fisher’s appointment as Pro Vice-Chancellor (Industry Engagement) comes at a critical time for La Trobe as we intensify our efforts to develop the Research and Innovation Precinct as part of our $5 billion plan to be a University City of the Future,” Professor Dewar said.
“Dr Fisher brings a clear and dynamic vision around industry engagement and commercialisation as pathways connecting academics and institutions with the communities and sectors where they can have most impact.
“Her connections to government agencies, local and international organisations and her understanding of the nexus between the higher education, community and commercial sectors will be invaluable in leading and improving La Trobe’s Industry Engagement activities.”
Dr Fisher said she was looking forward to leading the Industry Engagement strategy for La Trobe, as an integral part of its University City of the Future vision.
“I’m excited to be joining La Trobe as Pro Vice-Chancellor for Industry Engagement, giving me the opportunity to work with University leaders and academics to deliver impact and enhance the student experience through building strong and lasting connections with industry,” Dr Fisher said.
