Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery has today officially opened Westminster Primary School’s new science laboratory.
The upgrade is part of the State Government’s election commitment to transform 200 primary school classrooms into science laboratories.
The new facilities provide students with a modern learning environment to boost skills in science.
As noted by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:
“Students can now fully immerse themselves in Westminster Primary School’s excellent science program.
“The new science laboratory will ensure that students successfully make the transition from primary to high school science.
“I am excited to see students expand their love of science in the new laboratory.”
As noted by Mirrabooka MLA Janine Freeman:
“Westminster Primary School has been a leader in science education in the State, having been previously recognised through the WA’s Science School of the Year award and the Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching.
“These great new facilities will add to the excellent science education already on offer at the school.”
