Kempsey Shire Council
In a display of community collaboration, the Kempsey Shire Council’s Parks & Gardens Team joined forces with the Rotary Club of West Kempsey and the RSL Sub-branch last week to install new custom-made seats at the East Kempsey War Memorial/Cenotaph.
These seats, crafted in South Australia and funded through generous contributions from the local RSL and Rotary Clubs, mark a significant addition to the Macleay Valley memorial site.
As we approach Anzac Day, the timing of this installation provides a renewed space for remembrance and commemoration.
The council and the contributing clubs encourage all community members to visit the memorial.
