Construction of the new amenities building at Adelaide Street Oval, Killarney Vale (Tumbi Umbi) is now complete providing the Killarney Vale Bombers AFL Club, local players and supporters with a significantly improved and accessible facility.
The new sportsground amenities building is fit for purpose to meet the growing needs of local sporting groups in the area. The building includes four unisex change rooms, unisex toilets, ambulant and accessible toilets, first aid room, and ample storage. In addition, new concrete pathways have been constructed around the entire perimeter of the building that links to the carpark and existing AFL clubhouse ensuring people with limited mobility can participate.
Quality infrastructure supports local sporting groups, encourages active and healthy lifestyles and creates opportunities for social connections. This project delivers on a goal from Council’s community strategic plan to create a livable coast through quality sports facilities.
This project has been jointly funded by the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund, NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants Program (provided to the Killarney Vale AFL Club), Central Coast Council and Australian Football League NSW/ACT (AFL Facilities Fund).
