The community played an instrumental role in gaining funding for the tennis club upgrade, with the Stuarts Point Hall Committee and the Stuarts Point and District Community Organisation () working overtime advocating for the importance of this project.
The tennis club has always been well supported by the community and visitors to the area, and the clubhouse project builds on the recent upgrades to the village, including the and projects.
The planned upgrade of the clubhouse includes accessible toilets, a viewing deck, and improved stormwater drainage, all of which will benefit community groups and local schools, who are able to use the facilities for their events.
Over the next few weeks, the planned works include demolition, in-ground services, and pouring the concrete slab for the new building.

The project is a joint venture between Kempsey Shire Council and the NSW Government, with half of the funding provided from the Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.
