New Zealand First backs ambulance professionals

NZ First Party

Darroch Ball, New Zealand First List MP

New Zealand First MP Darroch Ball has accepted a petition from St John ambulance worker Dean Brown along with FIRST Union president Robert Reid and representative Sarah Stone.

“Our frontline paramedics are asking for help and are shining a light on the current funding issues they are facing,” says Mr Ball

“St John Chief Executive Officer Peter Bradley has also been working extremely hard for immediate funding for St John as well as a sustainable long-term future funding model.”

This petition is supported by over 14,000 signatures which outlines the pay challenges of our paramedics and the need for a sustainable long-term funding model for St John.

“It’s in the best interests of New Zealanders that we have a well-funded, well-resourced Ambulance service and that our paramedics are able to be fairly compensated,” says Mr Ball
