University of Queensland researchers have secured 28 grants totalling more than $29 million to address critical health challenges.
The ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) awarded 3 Development Grants, 24 Ideas Grants and one Postgraduate Scholarship.
Professor Amin Abbosh received 2 grants to develop technologies to help prevent and manage liver disease, and a new standard of efficient, painless and accessible blood tests.
The NHMRC programs are designed with a focus on improving patient outcomes, shaping health policy and practice, and transforming discoveries into real-world benefits for society.
