A QLD man will appear in a Parramatta court today charged as part of a seven-month investigation into the supply of illegal drugs across Sydney.
About 7.30pm on Monday 12 March 2019, a 23-year-old man was arrested at Tweed Heads Police Station, where he was charged with offences relating to drug supply, dealing with proceeds of crime, and participating in criminal group.
He was refused bail and faced Tweed Heads Local Court yesterday (Tuesday 12 March 2019), where he was again refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 13 March 2019).
Monday’s arrest was the latest in an operation by officers attached to Strike Force Toallo, who have now charged nine people following extensive investigations.
Strike Force Toallo was established in August of 2018 by officers from the North West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad to investigate drug supply in the Sydney metropolitan area.
Following inquiries, on Thursday 20 December 2018, police executed search warrants on properties in Greenacre, Kogarah, Bexley, and Canterbury.
During the search warrants, police seized cash, substances believed to be cocaine and cannabis, firearms and ammunition, knuckle dusters, and jewellery.
A 26-year-old man was arrested in Greenacre and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with offences relating to drug supply, dealing with proceeds of crime, and participating in criminal group.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Friday 21 December 2018, where he was again granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Wednesday 17 April 2019.
A 29-year-old man was arrested in Greenacre and taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with offences relating to drug supply, dealing with proceeds of crime, participating in criminal group, and firearm possession.
He was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Friday 21 December 2018, where he was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Tuesday 28 May 2019.
A 24-year-old man was arrested in Bexley, before being taken to Kogarah Police Station, and charged with offences relating to drug supply and possession, dealing with proceeds of crime, weapon possession, and participating in criminal group.
He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 22 January 2019, where he was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 26 March 2019.
Following a search warrant in Canterbury, a 26-year-old woman attended Bankstown Police Station, where she was arrested and charged with offences relating to drug supply, dealing with proceeds of crime, and participating in criminal group.
She was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Friday 21 December 2018, where she was again refused bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday 3 April 2019.
A 24-year-old man was arrested in Kogarah, and taken to Kogarah Police Station, where he was charged with offences relating to drug supply, dealing with proceeds of crime, possession of firearms, and participating in criminal group.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 22 January 2019, where he was again granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 26 March 2019.
On 10 January 2019, two men, aged 20 and 21, were arrested at Downing Centre Local Court by officers attached to Strike Force Toallo, and taken to Day Street Police Station, where they were charged with offences relating to drug supply, participating in criminal group, and driving vehicle during disqualification periods.
They were both refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 11 January 2019, where they were both granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Thursday 2 May 2019.
On Tuesday 29 January 2019, police attached to Strike Force Toallo conducted a vehicle stop near a home on Anderson Avenue, Mt Pritchard, where they arrested a 20-year-old man and took him to Fairfield Police Station.
He was charged with offences relating to drug supply, and participating in criminal group, and refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Tuesday 29 January 2019, where he was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 26 March 2019.
