The Northern Territory has recorded no new cases of COVID-19 overnight. The total number of cases from the NT outbreak is 52.
Extensive contact tracing remains underway, with 490 close contacts identified to date for cluster two. Of these, 470 close contacts have been contacted and are isolating and 455 have returned a negative entry test.
Wastewater results for the period of 23- 24 November at the Katherine Bicentennial Road catchment site remain positive. There are no unexpected wastewater testing results across the Northern Territory
2677 COVID-19 tests were processed across the NT yesterday. 423 tests from Katherine have returned as negative.
Lockdown / lockout details for Katherine
It is expected Katherine will transition from a lockdown to a lockout in the near future. Katherine residents are encouraged to get vaccinated to ensure they can take advantage of the greater freedoms that come with a lockout.
The mask mandate for the Roper Gulf and Victoria-Daly Local Government Areas (LGAs) is lifted, effective immediately.
South Australia Specific Testing Requirement
A new testing direction is in place for travellers from South Australia. Effective 12.01am 27 November, travellers from South Australia must have a Rapid Antigen Test on arrival into the Northern Territory at the airport or nearest distribution centre if travelling by road or rail.
From Monday 29 November, travellers from South Australia must have a negative PCR test 72 hours prior to entering the Northern Territory and have proof of the result. They will also be required to get a Rapid Antigen test on arrival into the NT. Travellers from South Australia who arrive in the NT without a negative PCR test result must go into supervised mandatory quarantine until that test result is returned as negative.

The Katherine walk-in COVID-19 testing clinic is open daily from 9am – 6:00pm.
COVID-19 testing sites are also open in Greater Darwin, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Nhulunbuy. Testing is also available at NT Health clinics in remote communities.
