The iconic Ricketts Point Teahouse is getting a make-over. The refurbishment will improve the experience for visitors and improve environmental sustainability of restaurant operations.
The works will update this beloved Bayside venue for meals, snacks and newly introduced dinner service. The works include:
- A refurbished deck for outdoor dining
- New interior décor
- Upgraded kitchen
- Replacement of grease and sewer pumps involving excavation and soil movement
The upgrade follows community consultation in 2019 on the proposed refurbishment and opening for dinner. The long term Teahouse tenant is funding the renovations.
The site will be fenced during construction, with some path closures to ensure public safety.
Overhanging trees will be pruned to ensure they are not damaged during the works.
Works will commence in early July 2020, weather permitting, with estimated completion in late December 2020.
