Rushworth residents are being encouraged to support the development of their community by nominating to the Rushworth Place Based Plan Committee.
Mayor of Campaspe Shire Rob Amos said the creation of a community member committee is the first step in the development of a town’s Place Based Plan.
“Ultimately, Place Based Plans focus on making places better. The process involves looking at, listening to and engaging community members who live, work and play in a particular place. In this case, Rushworth.
“It’s about understanding their needs and aspirations. As a Rushworth resident, what do you want your town to feel like, look like and function like?
“By becoming a member of the Rushworth Place Based Plan Committee, you’ll be putting forward the ambitions and objectives your community wants to achieve.”
The tasks of the committee include supporting the engagement of the wider Rushworth community, keeping the community informed of progress on the plan, monitoring the development of the plan and authorising the plan once completed.
