- A Community Reference Group is being formed to guide the redevelopment of the ECU Mount Lawley campus
- Nominations to join the group are now open, offering community members a chance to help shape plans for the site
Nominations are now open for community members to be part of the ECU Mount Lawley Community Reference Group (CRG) to provide valuable input to guide the redevelopment of the ECU Mount Lawley site.
The State Government, through DevelopmentWA, is seeking approximately 30 representatives from a range of age groups, genders, and backgrounds, including residents and business owners, landowners and community groups, to help guide the redevelopment of the site.
The reference group will provide input into the principles guiding the redevelopment, addressing key areas such as land use, connectivity, public spaces, sustainability, buildings, and neighbourhood values.
Planned as a two-part workshop at the campus, reference group members must be available to attend both the 16 and 30 November sessions, to be held between 9am and 3pm.
Nominations are open until 27 October 2024. For more information or to submit a nomination, visit the .
As stated by Lands Minister John Carey:
“This site will be a significant asset to the local community, which is why we’re seeking community feedback and representation.
“I encourage local community members to nominate and contribute to this exciting redevelopment.”
As stated by Mount Lawley MLA Simon Millman:
“The ECU campus has long been the creative heart of Mount Lawley, and we’re now calling on the local community to step up and represent our community as part of a Community Reference Group.
“We want to see the Mount Lawley community fully represented through the Community Reference Group to participate in this community consultation process.”
