The Hon Mark Coulton and former test cricketer, Peter Taylor today issued a national appeal to all Australian farmers and anyone who spends lots of time outdoors to cover up and get their skin checked as summer approaches.
Up to 1,700 Australians are estimated to die from advanced non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) this year and it can cause extensive hardship for those who live with the disease. While many Australians will be aware and recognise the impact of melanoma, many may not understand how insidious non-melanoma skin cancer can be.
