Notice is given under the Planning Act 2016 that Cairns Regional Council, on 23 October 2019, resolved to:
- Adopt the CairnsPlan 2016 Planning Scheme Amendment 3 of 2019 – Minor Amendment;
- Adopt the CairnsPlan 2016 Planning Scheme Version 2.1.
The commencement date for the CairnsPlan 2016 Amendment 3 of 2019 – Minor Amendment and CairnsPlan 2016 Version 2.1, is 11 November 2019.
The purpose and general effect of the CairnsPlan 2016 Amendment 3 of 2019 – Minor Amendment and CairnsPlan 2016 Version 2.1 is to provide consistency across the planning scheme and the Building Assessment Provisions applicable to Building Works for land liable to flooding.
A copy of the CairnsPlan 2016 Amendment 2 of 2019 – Minor Amendment and CairnsPlan 2016 Version 2.1 are available for inspection or purchase at the Cairns Regional Council Customer Service Centre at 119-145 Spence Street, Cairns or on Cairns Regional Council’s website.
