A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a fatal crash near Dubbo.
About 11.20am (Monday 8 April 2019), emergency services were called to Wellington Road, north of Eulomogo Road, after reports a car left the road and hit a tree.
Police attended and located the vehicle ablaze. Once the fire was extinguished, a body was located inside the vehicle.
While not positively identified, the body is believed to be that of a 68-year-old man.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District are investigating the incident.
The road was closed for four hours whilst the scene was examined took place.
