NSW police arrest four after FOMO 2020 music festival

Four people were arrested, including three for drug supply offences, following a police operation at the FOMO music festival in Parramatta yesterday.

The high-visibility operation – led by North West Metropolitan Region and involving officers from the Public Order and Riot Squad, Police Transport Command, the Dog Unit, the Mounted Unit and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command – was conducted at the Parramatta Park music festival between 11.30am and 11pm yesterday (Saturday 11 January 2020).

More than 10,500 people attended the music festival.

During the operation, there were 13 Field Court Attendance Notices (CAN) and 24 drug criminal infringement notices (CIN) issued for possess prohibited drug, and four people arrested.

The arrests include:

• A 19-year-old Ruse woman was arrested and charged with supply prohibited drug after she was allegedly found with 50 MDMA tablets. She was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 12 January 2020).

• A 27-year-old San Remo man was charged with supply prohibited drug after he was allegedly found with more than 80 MDMA tablets. He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today.

• A 21-year-old Ingleside was arrested and charged with supply prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug. It will be alleged in court that the woman was in possession of MDMA tablets and cocaine. She was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 12 February 2020.

• A 32-year-old Hunters Hill woman was arrested and charged with malicious damage following an alleged domestic violence-related incident. She was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday 14 January 2020.

Officers also ejected 69 people from the premises; 12 for intoxication and a further 57 people for fence jumping.
