A man has been arrested following the death of a woman at Randwick last tonight.
About 8.45pm (Saturday 18 May 2019), emergency services were called to Barker Street, after reports a woman had been injured.
On arrival, officers found a woman unresponsive nearby. She died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.
A 60-year-old man has been arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station where he is assisting police with inquiries.
Crime scenes were established in Barker and Easy Streets with detectives from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
Barker Street remains closed between Botany and Kennedy Streets. Easy Street has since been reopened to traffic, with access to the hospital available.
