A man has been arrested after another man presented at Canterbury Hospital last night suffering facial injuries and a gunshot wound to his leg.
About 11pm (Wednesday 25 September 2019), officers from Campsie Police Area Command were called to the hospital after the man sought treatment for his injuries.
Initial inquires have led officers to a shop on Belmore Road, Belmore, where a crime scene was established.
About 12.20pm today (Thursday 26 September 2019), a 25-year-old man was arrested at Campsie Police Station.
The man is currently assisting with inquiries as investigations continue.
