Four people have been charged following an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs in Sydney’s south-west.
In January 2022, officers attached to Bankstown Region Enforcement Squad established Strike Force Invermay, to investigate a ‘dial-a-dealer’ syndicate operating in Sydney’s south-west and central metropolitan regions.
As part of inquiries, Strike Force officers stopped a Toyota Hilux at a service station on Merrylands Road, Merrylands West about 2pm yesterday (Friday 10 June 2022),
The occupants – two men 31 and 43 – were arrested and taken to Granville Police Station.
Shortly after, a 28-year-old man was arrested after officers stopped a Toyota Corolla on the Hume Highway, Bankstown and located cocaine and cash in his possession.
A 37-year-old woman was also later arrested after being located by officers at Waterloo Road, Greenacre.
They were both taken to Bankstown Police Station.
Police subsequently executed four search warrants at homes in Croydon, Yagoona, Punchbowl and Arncliffe.
As a result of the warrants, officers seized more than $80,000 cash, 300 plastic resealable bags containing cocaine with an estimated potential street value of $90,000, 336g of cannabis, two vehicles and electronic devices.
The 31-year-old Liverpool man was charged with supply prohibited drug – large commercial quantity, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and knowingly direct criminal group.
The 28-year-old Hassall Grove man was charged with supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, supply prohibited drug – indictable, and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime.
The Arncliffe woman was charged with supply prohibited drug – large commercial quantity, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
They were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 10 June 2022).
The 43-year-old Yagoona man was charged with two counts of recklessly deal with proceeds of crime and granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Monday 4 July 2022.
