Police have charged a man and woman following an investigation into the distribution of prohibited drugs in Sydney’s inner west.
In December 2018, officers from Redfern Police Area Command formed Strike Force Petal to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Redfern area.
Following investigations, police arrested a 28-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man in a vehicle on Gadigal Avenue, Waterloo about 3pm today (Wednesday 13 June 2019).
Officers seized drugs believed to be heroin, methylamphetamine, and gamma butyrolactone (GBL)
The man and woman were arrested and taken to Redfern Police Station where they were charged with 15 offences including; supply prohibited drug small quantity (x2), supply prohibited drug small quantity and less than indictable quantity (x 4), supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (x2), supply prohibited drug indictable quantity and less than commercial quantity(x 5), and supply prohibited drug commercial quantity (x2).
The pair were refused bail to appear at Central Local Court tomorrow (Friday 14 June 2019).
Strike Force Petal was established to disrupt and stop the distribution of illicit drugs, including heroin and crystal methylamphetamine (Ice), in the Redfern area.
