NSW police charge man and woman with multiple offences

A man and woman will face court today following investigations into multiple offences allegedly committed across NSW since June this year.

Officers attached to Sutherland Police Area Command and Mid North Coast Police District have been conducting inquiries into an alleged armed robbery at Caringbah in June, and multiple alleged offences on the state’s mid north coast in July and August.

About 6am yesterday (Thursday 8 August 2019), officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District – with assistance from Traffic and Highway Patrol, and other specialist resources – attended a property on Hannam Vale Road, Moorland, where they arrested a 30-year-old man and 27-year-old woman.

A search warrant was executed at the property, where police seized a Toyota Rav 4 alleged to have been stolen from Killarney Heights in May, methylamphetamine, cannabis leaf and plants, revolver parts, cash, fighting knives, and a small amount of ammunition.

The man and woman were taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.

The 30-year-old man was charged in relation to nine warrants for armed robbery, firearm offences, property theft, drug offences, and traffic offences, and was refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Friday 9 August 2019.

The 27-year-old woman was charged in relation to an armed robbery offence, property offence, breach of bail, and revocation of parole, and was refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Friday 9 August 2019.

Following the search warrant, a 26-year-old man was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice at the property for the offences of possessing a prohibited drug (x2) and cultivate prohibited plant.
