NSW Police have charged a man over the alleged domestic-related murder of a woman at Lithgow nearly eight years ago.
Emergency services were called to a home on Macaulay Street, Lithgow, about 4.15pm on Thursday 8 March 2012, after the body of 27-year-old Jenoa Sutton was located in the bathroom.
A post-mortem examination found she died of a head injury and drowning.
Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, together with Chifley Police District, established Strike Force Aubin to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
Following extensive investigations, strike force detectives arrested a 50-year-old man at a business in Katoomba just before 11am yesterday (Thursday 20 February 2020).
He was taken to Katoomba Police Station and charged with murder.
The Bowenfels man was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Friday 21 February 2020).
