A man has been charged following an investigation into a stabbing in Sydney’s south-west at the weekend.
About 11.30pm last Friday (25 October 2019), emergency services were called to Conroy Road, Wattle Grove, following reports of a brawl.
Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command arrived a short time later, but the group had dispersed.
A 24-year-old man was located at the scene and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for stab wounds before being taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers, while local detectives commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, Liverpool City detectives arrested a 21-year-old man at Liverpool Police Station about 8.10am today (Tuesday 29 October 2019).
The Guildford man was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, affray and recklessly cause grievous bodily harm in company.
Police will allege in court that the man was involved in an altercation when he produced a knife and stabbed another man.
He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Tuesday 29 October 2019).
