A man will appear in court today charged with commercial drug supply after Strike Force Raptor investigators located GBL, cocaine and methylamphetamine in Sydney’s west.
About 9.40pm on Friday 27 March 2020, officers stopped a Nissan Navara at a shopping centre on Merrylands Road, Greystanes, and spoke with the 39-year-old male driver.
Police conducted a search of the vehicle and located an amount of gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) concealed in a vitamin container and soft drink bottle.
A hotel key card was also seized following a search of the man, who was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station.
A short time later, strike force investigators executed a search warrant at a home at Roland Street, Greystanes.
During the search, officers seized 50g of methylamphetamine (ice), approximately 800ml of GBL, cocaine and chemicals.
A second search warrant was subsequently executed at a hotel room in South Wentworthville with officers seizing an amount of GBL inside a backpack.
All items seized will undergo forensic examination.
The man was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity) and possess prohibited drug.
The man appeared at Fairfield Local Court on Saturday 28 March 2020, where he was formally refused bail to reappear at Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 3 June 2020).
