Two teens have been charged following a stabbing in Sydney’s CBD earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst about 1pm (Wednesday 4 September 2019), following reports a man had been stabbed.
An 18-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for stab wounds to his chest and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Police have been told the 18-year-old man met with two males in Cow Lane, Darlinghurst, when an argument ensued, resulting in the 18-year-old being allegedly stabbed, and his bag stolen.
About 6.30pm on Wednesday (4 September 2019), a 17-year-old boy was arrested at a home in Petersham and taken to Newtown Police Station.
He was charged with attempt murder, and robbery in company cause wounding/grievous bodily harm and refused bail to appear at a children’s court yesterday (Thursday 6 September 2019), where he was again refused bail to reappear at the same court on Tuesday 22 October 2019.
Following extensive police investigations, at 11.35am today (Friday 6 September 2019), police arrested a second boy in Merrylands.
The 15-year-old was taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged with attempted murder and armed robbery with wounding, as well as possess prohibited drugs and for another two outstanding warrants.
He was refused bail to appear at a Children’s court on Saturday 7 September 2019.
