Detectives have charged three men following a violent brawl at a shopping centre in Sydney’s west last month.
Just before 3pm on Saturday 15 June 2019, two groups of males were involved in fight inside the shopping centre on Church Street, Parramatta.
During the fight, several men were punched and kicked.
Police from Parramatta Police Area Command attended, however, the groups had dispersed and left the area prior to their arrival.
A crime scene was established, before State Crime Command’s Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor took carriage of the investigation.
As part of their inquiries, Strike Force Raptor, with assistance from the Public Order and Riot Squad and Bass Hill Region Enforcement Squad, executed three search warrants at homes in Merrylands last Thursday (18 July 2019).
Following further investigations, three men – aged 27 and two aged 28 – attended Parramatta Police Station just before 8.30am today (Monday 22 July 2019).
They were all charged with affray.
One of the men, aged 28, was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
The other men were granted strict conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Monday 2 September 2019.
Investigations are continuing.
