Three men have been charged over an alleged kidnapping and assault at Milsons Point two weeks ago.
Officers from North Shore Police Area Command initiated inquiries after a 35-year-old man was allegedly detained and assaulted in an apartment by three men for several hours on Wednesday 20 February 2019.
The man was treated for facial and chest injuries in Royal North Shore Hospital after being released.
Strike Force Cebalrai was formed to investigate the incident, and on Friday 22 February 2019 detectives arrested a 32-year-old man from Milsons Point. He was charged with take/detain in company to get advantage occasioning actual bodily harm.
The following Thursday (28 February 2019), a 22-year-old man, from Botany, was arrested and charged with the same offence. Both men remain in custody after being refused bail.
About 3.30pm today (Thursday 7 March 2019), a 25-year-old man, from Caringbah, was arrested at Miranda Police Station and has now been charged with two counts of take/detain to get advantage occasioning actual bodily harm, and possess prescribed restricted substance.
That man has been refused bail to appear in Sutherland Local Court tomorrow (Friday 8 March 2019).
