Three people have been arrested as part of investigations into an alleged drug supply operation in the state’s south west.
In July 2019, Strike Force Tuscany was established by the Southern Region Enforcement Squad to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Riverina area.
Following extensive investigations, strike force officers arrested two men and a woman over their alleged involvement in the supply of ‘ice’ throughout the region.
About 4.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 5 November 2019) a 29-year-old man was arrested in Kooringal, following an alleged drug transaction.
Shortly after, officers arrested a 29-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man in a shopping centre carpark in Kooringal.
Officers executed a search of the man’s vehicle, where they located and seized cash and drugs.
Shortly after, strike force investigators executed a search warrant at a residential property in Kooringal.
Officers located and seized drugs, drug paraphernalia, cash and mobile phones.
The 29-year-old man was charged with 10 counts of drug supply and one count of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis.
He was refused bail to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court today (6 November 2019).
The 25-year-old man was charged with four counts of drug supply, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis and deal with proceeds of crime.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on 18 December 2019.
The 29-year-old woman was charged with drug supply and deal with proceeds of crime.
She was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on 18 December 2019.
Police inquiries are continuing.
