A woman will face court after a crash near Bendemeer in June that left a man seriously injured.
About 10.10am on Thursday 13 June 2019, a Holden Commodore was travelling north on the New England Highway north of Bendemeer toward Kentucky when it has hit an embankment on the opposite side of the road.
A 69-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Commodore, had to be freed from the wreckage by emergency services. He was admitted to hospital for treatment to fractured ribs and his right wrist.
The driver, a 34-year-old woman, was not hurt.
Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have been making inquiries into the events leading up to the crash.
Yesterday (Monday 1 July 2019), crash investigators issued a Court Attendance Notice to a 34-year-old woman.
She will appear in Tamworth Local Court on Monday 2 September 2019. There she will answer allegations of cause bodily harm by misconduct in charge of a motor vehicle, drive in a manner dangerous, negligent driving and not keep left of dividing line.
