Police have charged a woman with 18 offences after drugs and firearms were seized, following an investigation into drug manufacture and supply in the Bankstown area.
Six people have now been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged drug supply syndicate operating across Sydney.
As part of ongoing investigations, detectives from Bankstown Police Area Command established Strike Force Polar earlier this year and forms part of Operation Trident, targeting mid-level organised crime groups within the South West Metropolitan Region.
On Wednesday 9 December 2020, officers from Bankstown Police Area Command with assistance from Tactical Operations Unit, executed a search warrant on Hector Street, Bass Hill.
During the search warrant police seized two pistols, ammunition, two stolen number plates, methylamphetamine, 5kg powder suspected to be MDMA, cannabis and cocaine, almost $3000 cash and 1kg of a precursor chemical.
Officers also seized equipment used in the manufacture of drugs.
Around 8am this morning (Friday 11 December 2020) a 28-year-old Bass Hill woman attended Fairfield Police Station where strike force investigators arrested and charged her with 18 offences,
- Possess unauthorised (pistol) (two counts)
- Possess unregistered firearm (pistol) (two counts)
- Not keep firearm safely (pistol) (two counts)
- Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority (three counts)
- Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit (three counts)
- Supply prohibited drug (greater than indictable/less than commercial quantity)
- Possess prohibited drug (three counts)
- Possess precursor intend to use in manufacture/production
- Goods suspected stolen in/on premises
She was bail refused to appear at Fairfield Local Court today.
