A woman has been charged following an alleged armed robbery on the South Coast overnight.
About 6.30pm (Sunday 5 July 2020), a woman attended a service station on the Princes Highway at Narooma, and allegedly threatened the attendant with a carving knife, demanding cash.
The attendant complied and the woman fled on foot with cash.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended a short time later and established a crime scene.
The staff member was not physically injured.
Following inquiries, a 19-year-old woman was arrested at Narooma Police Station about 2.15am (Monday 6 July 2020).
A crime scene warrant was executed at the woman’s home a short time later, where investigators seized clothing and a knife believed to be used in the robbery.
The woman was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon.
She was refused bail and is due to face Batemans Bay Local Court today (Monday 6 July 2020).
