Police are re-appealing for public assistance as they continue to investigate the fatal hit-and-run of a cyclist on the state’s far north coast.
About 1.05am on Sunday 23 June 2019, emergency services were called to Wilsons Creek Road, Wilsons Creek, about 9km south-west of Mullumbimby, after the body of a man was located on the road by a passing motorist.
A push-bike was also found nearby.
Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended, but the 22-year-old man died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and investigations commenced.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives from Tweed/Byron Police District have released images of a similar make and model vehicle which they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.
The vehicle of interest is described as a late 1990s model Mitsubishi Delica L400.
