Police are appealing for public assistance following a suspicious fire in the state’s north east yesterday.
About 9.10pm (Sunday 21 November 2021), emergency services were called to Mathuis Road, Gunnedah, following reports a business premise was well alight.
NSW Rural Fire Service attended and extinguished the blaze, however the building was partially destroyed.
The building is believed to have been unoccupied at the time and no injuries have been reported.
Officers from Oxley Police District established a crime scene, which be examined by forensic police.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious and appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed suspicious activity to come forward.
